YAY!!!
I just discovered your blog. I love the pictures of your classroom. I too am very crafty and like to remake things. I teach pre-k so I don't have to stress about tests. In that respect, I am fortunate. I wanted to let you know about a project I did with baby jeans-I cut the end off of the legs and sewed the legs up, attached cute ribbon-wrote the words with paint accross to jeans-"Smarty Pants" and clothespined them to a wooden hanger. The wooden hanger was less than $1 at Michaels, I bought a wooden painted bumble bee and glued it to the hanger for about $1. The jeans came from goodwill-used leftover paint I had. I am going to hang it up in my classroom and put smarty candies inside the jean(sewing up the legs made like a pocket) and give kids a smarty when they make smart choices, answers, ect. I tried to explain this as best I could-I thought you might like this idea-I will try to send you a picture when I get to my classroom-the jeans are there.
