gently peel off the bandaid kinda girls...
rip it off quick... plus I am allergic to adhesive so bandaids and FARLEY
are not friends...

and something else I am pretty sure I am allergic to... CATS
especially COPY CATS...
lots of them...
they seriously rub me the WRONG way...

if it wasn't your idea... STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!
it just isn't right it IS NOT!!!!

a long time ago... I had a very good mentor warn me that teachers are like
CRABS in a bucket...
no crab will ever get out...
why??? because as soon as one attempts to escape over the edge...
another crab will pull them back down...
it is true...
oh boy that was another metaphor... oh no that was a simile... I used "LIKE"

even though I am joking this is only a way for me not to go FURIOUS FARLEY

You know it is one thing to have a product that is kinda a teacher essential copied...
like a parent survey or a building words activity...
those type of things are common  in our teaching field... SO unless it was a copy and paste issue...
I expect lots of other products out there like that....
BUT
BUT BUT
and I have a BIG BUTT...
FARLEY GOT BACK... jus sayin

BUT.... when someone SELLS something that is ORIGINAL BY ME...
I came up with it... I DID it... MY IDEA....
ORIGINAL BY ME... there I said it again...
that is just flat out... WRONG... why...
because it was down right copied...
you didn't come up with it...
you didn't really put hard work into developing it...
you just saw that it is popular
you saw that it was pinned a lot
and seriously you thought....
HEY I CAN MAKE A PRETTY PENNY!!!
(good luck with that... I haven't even hit a milestone yet... maybe because someone stole my pennies)

well how is that pretty penny
you might have a pretty penny in your hand...
BUT you have a tarnished view of what is right and wrong...

you might be saying....
you can't copyright ideas...
and well....
I really don't give a flying monkey poo
if you can't copyright IDEAS...
if you didn't think of it on your own...
it is not yours to make...
and it is definitely not yours to sell
and to not give credit...
that is just double monkey poo
it is just WRONG...

and my final thought on this situation is
do you know how you kill a crab...
you stab it in the back
hmmmmm....
and that is how I feel.
TpT is a community of teachers...
teachers should support one another...
not stab them in the back
by stealing ideas and selling them as your own...

oh and one more thing...
changing font, clipart, the title, or some other minuscule thing oh... like the original author's name...
still doesn't make it yours to sell!!!

silver linings

Oh Boy...
what a week I have had... and it is not even Friday yet...
Some things I can't go into detail with
BUT let me just tell you this week has been from
H-E- double hockey sticks!!!

It all started Saturday with a stomach bug!!!
NOT pretty people NOT PRETTY!!!
well thank goodness it was only 24 hours of fever puke and more...
what a great way to end my Spring Break...
and then there were things I can't talk about...
and that was Monday and Tuesday
and then Wednesday... I thought my raincloud week was gone...
NOPE...
I got the stomach bug again last night...
so today (Thursday) I took off...
my Mamma came and picked me up at 5 AM to head in to get my sub stuff set up...
I am a freak like that... yes I could have called friends BUT I live like ONE mile away
and I was on EMPTY so it was safe to go in!!!
and to top off today I forgot to send Bub in his Pre K Blue Shirt...
that made me CRY like a baby... I mean UGLY cry... big tears... I felt like the worst MOM ever...
I cried so much my nose swelled up and when my dad dropped Bub off he was like...
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR NOSE... I started crying again!!!

Well let me get to the point of this BOO WHO story...
I am not writing you this to get you to feel sorry for me...
I am writing this because I know we have all been there...

I am in control of my JOY... nothing can take away my JOY not even throw up and big noses.

I keep thinking of Kasey Musgrave's song... Silver Lining
and it talks about how you have to have have a cloudy day to have a silver lining...

so I am choosing to focus on my silver linings...
like...

1. My kiddos LOVED playing this on St. Patrick's Day.

 2. Hubs... I mean my ninja... or is he karate kid.... endways... Ralph and I got some good workouts in between my 2 bouts with the BUG...
between the BUG and Body Pump... I am down a few pounds... YAY

 3.  Every Tuesday night is game night with just Bubs and ME!!!
just the 2 of us... love this time together... even though I lost!!!

 4. I got a new pet!!! My hubby is the bestest in TEXAS... and I got to go get my very own.....
TARANTULA... I named her Talulah Rose!!! She is a juvenile Rosehair and is BEAUTIFUL!!!
She is an iridescent copper color and really is pretty!!!
Hubs and I set all of her stuff up last night... and even though I wasn't there to see my kiddos reactions this morning... I was super excited to know how excited they would be to see her!!! and YES that is me holding her!!! YIKES!!!

 5. Today this was my nurse... she followed my every step today... and I mean every STEP!!!
Mostly we cuddled on the couch!!! That's my Dori Gurl!!!

6.  Every Wednesday night I decorate a napkin for Bub's Thursday's Lunch...
I LOVE doing this!!! and he loves it too.... it always has an I LOVE YOU... a remember your rules section... and a doodle!!! He loves getting them... but I am pretty sure I love making them more!!!

7. I text my mama at like 4:45 this morning and asked if she could drive me to school... she didn't hesitate and came right over... love my mamma

8.  all day long I have been getting how are ya messages... my friends and family are awesome
and I am doing good... i will be back at school tomorrow!!!

9. last but not least... I can keep some applesauce down... YAY and  toast!!!

10. OK one more... packing my lunch for tomorrow will be SUPER EASY


so there you have it...
we all have those poopy days and in my case week
BUT instead of drowning under your stormy black cloud....
focus on the silver linings

so in honor of my new blog design...

I am listening to the Judson High school Basketball game on my laptop
Judson is the high school my little school feeds into
AND
it was my high school
well the boys basketball team is in the playoffs
AND one of my former kiddos is one of the starters...
he is 6 feet 7 inches TALL...
holy shnikeys... that is tall
and to top it off he is a star player (really he is I am not just saying that because he was mine at one time... he really is GOOD)
and
the cherry on top... he is a stand up kid...
manners, smarts, drive, and caring
the kind you want to clone over and over and over again!!!
well I have to go and support a GREAT KID

Oh and the game is over now and we won... by like 30 points...
they play again tomorrow and after they beat that team they go to state!!!!

needing to get back on track...
oh my gosh... I have been really bad...
last year I lost 50 pounds and this year I am pretty sure I have gained about half of it back...
BUT BUT BUT...
I am signed up for the gym and I am on the look out for new running shoes and I am pretty sure my new braces (really invisalign) are going to keep me on the road back to wt. loss...
especially my new braces... can;t really snack with them and I have brushed my teeth to like blinding white status... seriously
but am getting back on track...
I CAN DO IT!!!
