EOY Art Project

I have one post that is pinned the most...
it is the same one that has the comments and gets me the most email questions...
and that is just fine with me....
BECAUSE
it just so happens to be my favorite thing I have ever done with my kiddos....

AND I got to do it again...
and this year we got it done just in time for Mother's Day!!!
so if you want to see the first and original post about this project...
and with better directions than this one *wink*
head to (click on it if ya want)

BUT before ya leave me here...
take a looky lou at what we did this year!!!
one thing to mention is we had to use smaller canvases
but the art is still as special and magical as last time...
I JUST LOVE THESE and I hope you do too!!!

this project always brings SMILES
to all!!!
it really does allow the kids to SHINE!!!
no matter how smart or challenged the child is...
these always come out so SPECIAL!!!

toodles to you

  8. I am so in love with this project! Thank you so much for taking the time to share and make the steps easy peezy :-). I am praying we have a chance to try them this year (11 days to go....WOO HOO!!!!). My 3rd graders are pretty crafty, so I think this is the perfect class to try it with.

  10. Just catching up here...I LOVE this project so much! I am thinking I want to make a trio of these for meself this summer, then use this idea for a project next year! I am looping with half of my class to teach a 2/3 split, so it will be so fun to have a brand new project! What a great Mother's Day gift idea! Love your blog!

    1. I have been pining over this project for a couple of years and we FINALLY just did it for Mother's Day this year! I have a 2/3 split, so I modified it a little and made it a little easier. With a non-parent helper and a few weeks, we got it done and the mom's LOVED them! AND, I made a sample for myself! I got the canvases cheap on sale in the fall with my classroom budget. Thanks so much for the idea and inspiration, even if it wasn't originally your idea!
