how the summer flew by…
swooosh
it is gone!!!
this month's sponsor is…

let's get this show on the road…
dog gone it I am not gonna lie… I am on week 2 with kiddos and I am tired
TEACHER TIRED
and I still need to do some prep work for tomorrow…
YAWN
this year is gonna be a FUN one…
wink wink
so here we go…
* local news is always so depressing… it usually has some type of shooting and it just gets old… why can't people just get along???
* we are officially completely MOVED out of our house while it gets fixed up from the flood from over a year ago…
and we are living with my parents…
AHHHHHH… the HORROR
sounds scary BUT it is actually pretty neat… we have 5 people and and AND 5 dogs all in one house…
for the most part the dogs are getting along… well the 2 little dogs have had one fight…
BUT every night as a joke we reward the DOG of the DAY award… no golden bones are handed out… but it is still hilarious…
Merriweather my dog… won the other day and her acceptance speech was… thank you to Rita for drinking out of the toilet, thank you to Dori for sneaky licking Momma's plate, thanks to Molly for a pee pee accident (she is 18 so that's like 500 in dog years), and thanks to Daisy for stealing a bite to eat from Molly's bowl… without all of you guys this would not have been possible!!!
ha ha ha …. so as you can see we are having a good time
plus it is nice to share in dinner duty and have late night TV watching with my mom
we should be here another 4-6 weeks so talk to me next CURRENTLY and we will see
how the awards are going
we might have a person of the day prize… who knows
* we are ALL eating clean… and after a summer of eating JUNK and fast food… this is hard… we are on day 8 and I am the only one that hasn't cheated!!!
*we need rain rain rain rain… and it is sooooooo hot… I am so ready for FALL… thank goodness my recess is at 10 in the morning
* are we the only school that can't get our schedules to mesh the first week… we still haven't started all of our programs and what nots and it DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!
I like routine… and I can't establish routine until ALL this schtuff is ironed out… I have to be ready for the first day… jus sayin
* every year I set goals for myself and this year is no different…
little secret organization is always ALWAYS ALWAYS on my list!!!
this year I am going to need lots of patience and I need to believe that things happen for a reason
alrighty your turn
and here are the
You finally moved!! YAY!!
ReplyDeleteWe also didn't have everything in order the first week of school, I'm like you - order order order!!! :)
It rained on my way home today?! It didn't rain there?? Texas is weird.
Uhh, the news! I'm with you on that one... it's always so depressing :( Can't people just be happy AND get along! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dog story! How fun! We have three cats and it is always interesting to see which one looks guilty when I find a hairball coughed up! I love what you said about enjoying being with your mom. Precious times! Thanks for the Currently Farley!

Teachers Are Terrific!
the news IS so depressing. Same thing over here in Chicago :-(
ReplyDeleteHope your home repairs go smoothly and enjoy your family time. What I would give to be able to see my momma every night (she's in FL).
Happy back to school - hope you get routine SOON!
Michelle
I'm sorry Farley - I link up all the time and skipped the select button for my picture choice. It looks all screwy on your link up - grr! I don't know how to delete it sorry.

ReplyDeleteAhhh...living with the parents. I didn't mind living with mine. You're right-sharing dinner and dishes duty is so much better! Love the awards y'all are giving to the dogs! Hang in there with all the house remodel/fixing/yuck stuff! Sending you a virtual margarita because those are totally on the clean eating plan! XO
ReplyDeleteOH and FOR REALZ? The schedules STILL aren't figured out?! I'm so sorry-FRUSTRATION!
ReplyDeleteBubs has got to love living with his grandparents for a short time! I love your "Dog of the Day" awards! Know that my building's schedule does not get sorted out until our STAR assessments are done......meanwhile precious small group instruction time for at-risk students does not get started! Grrrrr! Frustrating beyond belief! As always, thanks so much for the opportunity to link up!

First Grade Frame of Mind
Your blog is amazing and so helpful! I know you probably hear it all the time! I'm new to blogging, so I'm still learning. I joined your linky party for third grade and this is my first time participating in the Currently posts and hopefully not my last.
ReplyDeleteI love the fall as well, but hopefully I can get over this cold soon!
Happy teaching and blogging this year!
Mahogany Amy
