20 nutty stories to add to your literacy stations. Each story has fill in the blank spaces for verb, noun, adjective, etc. Students choose what they want to fill in the blanks... even your reluctant readers will want to read their stories over and over!

alrighty I am going to admit something here...
I was almost done with this post and then it happened...
I fell asleep...

*packing my room ranks pretty high on my list right now because I found out summer school will be at our school and ain't nobody gonna mess with this girl's schtuff!!!
packing my room has gone from
shove everything in the closets and boxes and get the heck out of there I'll deal with it later mode to
LOCK DOWN
I have plans of sealing off my stuff that even the snoopiest teacher stranger can't get into...
is that mean?
I just don't like sharing my room...
I am territorial
I mean come on I have been in this room for 13 years
PLUS I don't want them messin with my things...
any of them *wink*
down to the last paperclip...
now if I know them that is a different story

this party is getting so BIG it makes my heart sing
never in my wildest little ol blog dreams did I think I would have a linky tradition like this...
and I thank you!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Hooray for last week!! Let's rock it out! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your need to lock up all of your resources - I love to share but I hate the idea of people going through my stuff!! Enjoy your last week and try to remember us poor folk who go to the end of June!
ReplyDeleteLooking From Third to Fourth
Slip proof is a big deal! I wear flip flops around Disney (yellowbox) and every time it rains, without fail, I either slip out of the shoe or slip down the road. I have yet to actually fall, Thankfully! Thanks for the fantastic link up!!

Third Grade Tidbits
I cringed when I read that someone would be teaching in your room this summer. I would be locking up everything also. I am a bit of a control freak about this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this party every month. I really do look forward to it.
Girl! Thank you for all your sweetness! And we have summer school at our school too. I'm so worried about thieves and snoops. I'm planning on zip-tying the cupboards....and then putting nail polish on them so someone extra motivated wouldn't be able to fool me. ATX Mafia has the best shirts. My whole team bought the West, Texas shirt! I just bought the Reef flops with the bottle opener on the bottom....laziness! XO 4.5 days- we CAN make it!
ReplyDeleteRowdy in First Grade
thieves and snoops wraps it up doesn't it??? and I like your thinking with zipties and polish!!!
DeleteI like that brand of sunscreen too! Feels so much better than the other kinds. 4 and a half days! You are almost done!
ReplyDeleteLori

DeleteTwo Tarts! Love that bakery. I grew up in NB before moving to Austin 10 years ago!
DeleteI do love to read everyone's Currently, and LOVE your writing style! My hubs just had surgery for a very deep melanoma in March. We think he is in the clear now, but we learned an important lesson about always wearing sunscreen. Glad you brought this to everyone's attention in your post. Way to go!

Maggie's Kinder Corner
My first surgery was about 8 years ago and I have had 2 more... I am all clear and all of them were in different places (face, back, and ear)... slather it up and stay in the shade is my summer motto... and I was thinking about making a post about it... you might have pushed me over the edge!!! thanks *wink*
DeleteThanks for posting the tip about the great t-shirt for a great cause! I just ordered mine. Will link up for your Currently - thanks for doing that each month.

DeleteI got my shirt today and it is super soft!!! you will love it
and plus it helps a great cause!!!
I will have to check out that brand of flip-flops. I normally buy Teva-but they aren't slip proof (I've totally fallen on wet tiles before.) Thanks for the tip and for holding this great linky each month!

WHOOP! WHOOP! I'm not number 4,523!!!!! Yea for me, yea for me...lol:) Love your linkies girly:) And you Insta, and your.....you get it:) Huggies:)
ReplyDelete4th Grade Frolics
love you too :)
DeleteOh my gosh--I've had summer school in my class before and it's a nightmare. You are so right to lock it down, unfortunately. Good luck pulling it together, and congrats on almost being done!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way when I know someone will be in my room. I hate that my coat closet is basically the hallway for the teachers to get to the lounge because people can easily "borrow" my things.
ReplyDeleteI hope your last 4.5 days go by fast!! :)

Mrs. Pauley’s Kindergarten
Thanks for being such a wonderful host. I am so glad June is here! I can understand how you feel about your classroom. I've done summer school in the past and I was respectful but others may not be. Also I'm so in love with Instagram and Candy crush is my new addiction too.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Friday evening when I'll be really FREE!
Love your Currently Linkys! I wish I had more time for them throughout the years, but the summer is my time for catch up. Love Candy Crush too! I've been on Level 79 for a week and can't get passed it.
ReplyDeleteThey make the BEST sunscreens!!!! I am so addicted to Candy Crush right now...it's just not normal:( Thanks so much for hosting these fun Link Ups!!!

”Dots” of Fun!
1...2...3...Teach With Me
I have an unknown person in my classroom this summer too. I don't think it's wrong to want things you paid for to be left alone. I taped paper over everything! Including my desk, and my teacher closet. The teacher across the hall said it was as secure as Fort Leavenworth. Bummer part, we have to leave out any books that the school provides for our class library. (I plan to go check on their condition every other week. It will give me piece of mind!)
ReplyDeleteEmilyK
Thanks for continuing to host such a great linky party! I love reading what everyone else has to say, and not feeling quite so on my own at times!
ReplyDeleteI too had to include the sunscreen on my list, but it's because of, as you said, the "tatas"...lol...I started chemo last month for breast cancer, so the bald head will need some extra care this summer!
We still have students for 3 more weeks, and a bit. There is so much to be done during this next month, but I know it will fly by and summer vacation will be here before I know it! :)
Thanks for the currently! Love these each month! I totally understand locking everything down. I love sharing with others, but wouldn't want someone snooping through my stuff, especially if I didn't know them.
ReplyDeleteLindsey
Lovin’ Kindergarten
Ugh, our school is the district's summer school site and I am in such denial about the fact they will be in my classroom using it without me (anxiety attack!). I am loving the ziptie idea and I sure hope the hubs doesn't mind when I take up one side of the garage with my stuff for the summer! Thanks for always hosting such a fab linky- def the highlight of each month :) :) Enjoy these last few days-- woot woot!

Totally agree with the sunscreen! I am blonde and have had more than my fair share of pre-cancerous growths removed! And preventing wrinkles is pretty cool, too :) Love your Currently editions. May was my first, and I have been looking forward to June every since!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I can't believe how many people have linked up. I just found a few new blogs to follow, but will be back for more. Thank you so much for setting this up!

Three Cheers for First Grade!
you are so welcome :)
DeleteI just love how predictable all teachers are! :) We all have the same thoughts at one time or another and making sure the iphone, phone, laptop or camera etc. is always with us is such a necessity!
ReplyDeleteI just love linking up thank you! I realized I somehow let May's currently pass me by! Opps...
